after s7u4->s10u1 upgrade (sv_SE.ISO8859-1) on Ultra-10 machine, solaris does not boot automatically.
this happens also after any consequential reboot.

openboot output:

after entering "boot kernel/unix" manually, system boots normally.

This problem had nothing to do with upgrade. If the user had -F cprbooter cprboot as boot-args in the eeprom. 
After you do new install or upgrade in S9, S10 or Nevada, system will not boot.

This is orginally found by ELC during upgrade testing. However, I had confirmed that it also happen in new install.

If you eeprom had "-F cprbooter cprboot" as boot-args, if you do new install in S9, S10 or Nevada, system will not boot.

Work Around: Remove the "-F cprbooter cprboot" from boot-args and the system will boot.

nein, das wars leider auch nicht - 'boot kernel/unix' funktioniert auch nicht.
Im Sun Support-Forum hab ich teilweise ähnliche Probleme gefunden, allerdings ohne Lösung. Einige Leute haben die selben Probleme wie ich mit der DiamondMax Plus 8, bei anderen läuft sie...

schade, hast du noch ne andere platte zum testen? vllt isses ja nur ein kompatibilitäts problem....

Ich muss mal schauen, irgendwo müsste ich noch eine 4 GB-IDE-Platte aus nem alten PC haben - sofern ich sie finde und sie noch funktioniert werd ich sie testen.

Falls ich die 40 GB-Platte absolut nicht zum booten bewegen kann werd ich wohl oder übel beide einbauen müssen und von der Sun-Platte booten.

kannst du noch mal nen auszug von "printenv" und "devalias" posten.... glaub nicht das da was nicht stimmt aber mal gucken kann ja nicht schaden!
