Fehlen eigentlich nur noch anständige Festplatten, die a) nicht so pfeifen und b) bissi mehr Platz haben. :) Aber das wird sich bald ändern.... Was für ne geile Kiste!!!

Ach ja, für die es interessiert, der Metallhaufen (oder auch schon liebelvoll Türstopper genannt) schlägt sich performancemäsig verdammt gut. :) Und dabei stecken auch noch recht lumpige alte Platten in der Kiste!
Hab jedenfalls meine Blade 1000 gegen die Enterprise 3000 in einem Oracle Benchmark (AS3AP) antreten lassen. Auf beiden Systemen hab ich Oracle 9i R2 installiert. Das Ergebnis ist ziemlich cool. :)

Asche auf mein Haupt; ich finde die versprochenen Festplatten nicht :-( ich hatte eine ganze Kiste (so 6 - 10 Stück) 2GB Platten und dir versprochen. Falls ich sie doch noch finden sollte bekommst du die natürlich.

Könntest du etwas mit SCA-Platten aus einer Ultra60/Ultra450 anfangen? Wären für dich 2x 9GB gleichwertiger Ersatz?

Hallo Thorsten,
lass gut sein. :) Ich habe schon für Ersatz gesorgt. ;) Hab ein paar Rahmen ersteigert und nächste Woche kommt nen Schwung leiser 36GB Fujitsu Festplatten ins Haus. ;) Zum Experimentieren braucht man einfach Platz. So ne 9er Platte ist ruck zuck voll.
Heute werd ich mal nen Benchmark auf nem x86 System unter VMware fahren, ich brauch mal ein paar Referenzen. Und eine 3 GHz Maschine mit Solaris 10 hab ich auch schon bereit stehen. Laut spec.org haben ja vier 400 MHz UltraSPARC II in etwa die Performance einer 3 GHz Pentium4 CPU.
