Hallo,

ich habe einen SunPC Accelerator DX in meiner SS5 (Solaris 8 ) und möchte den aus archäologischen Gründen reaktivieren.
Gibt es irgendwo die nötige SunPC-Software zum Download?

Ist an sich eine interessante Frage, die ich mir auch stelle.
Hat eventuell jemand eine Antwort, da ich plane mir für die SS2 ebenfalls eine zu besorgen.

Zusätzlich bin ich im Manual "THE SUNPC 4.2 USER'S GUIDE" (805-2933-10) auf eine Textstelle aufmerksam geworden:

Soll das bedeuten, man könnte selbst ohne Hardware eine 286 emulieren? - Fände ich ja toll...

...ich kann mich erinnern das wir in grauer vorzeit auf einer sparc station dos anwendungen am laufen hatten. könnte sowas gewesen sein vielleicht?

Und sind die neueren DX2/5x86 u.U. dennoch in einer SS2 mit Software nutzbar?
