We are pleased to announce the release of mediaLib 2.4.  In addition
to bug fixing, the major changes in mediaLib 2.4 include:

  * Improved performance for UltraSPARC-T1 processor based systems.

  * The multi-threaded layer takes advantage of multi-processor
    and multi-core systems for Solaris SPARC and Solaris x86.

  * Improved 32-bit and 64-bit SSE2 versions for Solaris x86.

mediaLib 2.4 will be integrated into Solaris 10 at the next possible
update.  Note that mediaLib 2.3.1 is bundled with Solaris 10 Update 1
and mediaLib 2.2.2 is bundled with Solaris 10 FCS.
