Hm, ich bin eigentlich ziemlich enttäuscht von VirtualBox und der einzige Grund, warum ich es benutze, ist, weil es VMWare nicht auf Solaris gibt. Der beste Grund, Virtualisierung zu benutzen fällt unter VirtualBox weg, weil es viel zu kompliziert ist, eine virtuelle Maschine von einem Rechner auf den anderen zu schieben. (Ich habe WindowsXP auf einer OpenSolaris installiert und wollte es dann auf die andere kopieren)
Aber wenn es mal läuft, läuft es sehr flott... Könnte aber auch an der Hardware liegen ;-)

Ich benutze VirtualBox auf:
QuadCore 2,4GHz mit NX, VT, SpeedStep
4GB DDR2-RAM
160GB SATA-II Platte
GeForce 8400GS

OpenSolaris 2008.05
VirtualBox 2.0.2

Ich hatte auf einem PC ein Windows XP fix und fertig installiert und wollte das eigentlich nur auf den zweiten PC kopieren. Das war ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Ich musste die virtuelle Maschine neuerstellen am zweiten PC und dann hat irgendwas net hingehaut usw... war net lustig....
Aber da, juhu juhu, OpenSolaris mit Java in Verbindung von Eclipse völlig instabil ist, ist das OpenSolaris Abenteuer eh schon wieder beendet und ich bin zu OpenSuSe 11 gewechselt...
